LOOKING GOOD....

After a little dry time its looking pretty good. There are a few flaws, oh well. I think it looks pretty damn good. LATER...

RED???

Better pictures will follow after the paint is dry, but I just wanted to show you what has been going on. My lungs are full of red paint even though I had the respirator on. I think its going to look great once its all back together and the black calms that red down. Its brighter than I expected. LATER...

FLAT IN BLACK

Some photos after it has time to dry. It looks great!!! I was worried when it was wet. I thought it was going to be to glossy. I need patience I guess. The rest of the car will be a flat red. I think its going to look awesome. Especially, for an amateur like me. LATER...

COLOR ME BLACK

Just some before and after photos of the Capri(s) hood. It is Hot Rod Flat Black. This is after the first two wet coats. I'll take some photo(s) of it once its had time to dry. I'm going for the old school "flat" look. The car will be red and the hood and all of the trim will be black. Hopefully, its done before the baby decides to pop out. LATER...

JUST A LITTLE TRIM

Started putting some color back on the Capri. The black trim is looking good, if I say so myself. Going with a Kustom Shop Flat Primer(56' Corvette Red) for the main part of the car. Going to Flat Black the hood and call it done. My goal is to have it done by the end of this month and have all of the trim back on the car. LATER...

NEW SHOES

It took me several years, but my patience paid off with a set of Weld Draglites for the rear along with a set of Mickey Thompson slicks. Why am I excited you ask. Those changes represented 44 pounds of weight off the car. Which brings the total weight lost off the car to.....765 pounds.

FINE CORINTHIAN LEATHER

After several weeks its finally done. I must say it looks great. Now I can go down the track in some comfort. Too bad I don't have the other seats. It looks so good, I kind of want to restore the damn thing.

BACK IN BLACK

Here it is, all blacked out. I must say it looks pretty damn good. Why anyone would have painted a trailer white is beyond me, but it looks 100% better. Several coats of Rustoleum Gloss Black and its done. LATER...

Trailer Update

Figured the Capri was looking better, so we need to get the trailer looking better. I stained the boards this weekend and looking to paint it black. I wanted to go lime green, but the wife convinced me to stick with basic black. I should be done with that by next week.

SAND..SAND..MUD..MUD

Fiberglass and a little body filler and the rocker is looking pretty good. Good enough for the old car. It sure isn't perfect and I doubt it ever will be, but at least there isn't a hole I can stick my hand in. I think I have decided to go with a hot rod flat red primer and a hot rod flat black for the accent.(I'll put some color chips up as soon as I get them) It will look good and hide some of the imperfections. I also figured if its in primer people can't criticize my bodywork, because its not done. Its a WORK IN PROGRESS....LATER...

Something New

After doing some floor repair, I decided to treat the Capri with something new. $99 for some new carpet didn't seem bad and it will make the interior a little more comfortable, while still maintaining a stock appearance. I have got another surprise for the interior, but we will have to wait a few more days for that. HINT: Something old will be new again. LATER...

Almost A YEAR???

I must be lazy. It has been 9 months since my last post. I hope no one has forgot about me. Here are some pictures of the floor. Those Mustang owners and my brother-in-law will appreciate them. I used POR15, fiberglass, and patience to get them to look like this. No before pictures are available. I was embarrassed to show them. Trust me, what you see in the pictures looks great.
